Donegall Road Primary School and artist Fiona Ni Mhaoilir worked together developing the theme, ‘Our Environment’ concentrating on their immediate locality like Maldon St and surrounding streets. They developed circular wooden triptychs with each circle representing themes such as water, park, school and surrounding area. They also referenced the historical elements of the Vikings as they had been discovering their history in the school curriculum. The group was clear from the outset that the work would be installed in the school hall so that all students and staff could appreciate and enjoy the art work.
