Sounds and images are all around us: from mp3s in our earphones, adverts on the television, movies on the big screen to images in the photo album. Downloadable files, digital images, mini DV, 3D software have revolutionised how we create and view art.

This Is Me, the multi-media project within New Belfast, seeks to engage digital realities with the creative ability of individuals and community groups.

Working across different media including video, photography, animation and music, This Is Me seeks to tell stories that inhabit our communities within their history and identity. This creative process is also linked to acquiring new skills, accredited training, creating employment, self awareness and confidence building. Stories are told and listened to, and in so doing new skills and higher levels of confidence are gained, a fresh understanding and communication is created between individuals, communities and the wider world.

This Is Me workshops provide hands on-artistic creativity and community owned art through digital images and sounds to accompany the stories of our existence.
