By the end of the programme, friendships between groups were firmly cemented and the gist of the final evaluation was “We want more!” Further funding was sourced, and after a short period of rest and rehabilitation for all adults involved, the project resumed under the care of digital artist Norma Burrowes. With her encouragement, the participants designed and built two fantastical model cities of the future, using all kinds of household junk material and coloured sticky back so bright it made your eyes water. Images of the final work are to be printed onto postcards to be used as promotional material for the groups and as a keepsake for all those involved.
The two groups intend to keep up their friendships by way of a few trips out together over the summer and the forthcoming autumnterm.
